We find in this text some things <em>declared<\/em> about his staff. The great truth is that the leaning upon this staff is totally a faith walk. When we walk by faith we must stand on the uncertain and walk into the unknown. I see also the <em>staff of Jacob defined<\/em>. This was\u00a0the shepherd&#8217;s crook which is a picture of the Holy Ghost. It was used to rescue the lamb from rushing water or briar patches. It was often laid gently on the back of a nervous little lamb. Oh, how strong ties with the Holy Ghost helps in this faith walk. Years ago a black nanny for a school vice president met with the family in the morning altar time.
