I am told\u00a0that a good testimony involves <em>the removal of somethings<\/em> by <em>laying them aside.<\/em> We are told\u00a0to lay aside <em>sins defilement.<\/em> The context speaks of having a sensitive\u00a0spirit to the least thing that defiles our life. There are three things mentioned in this text that will help develope a sensitive\u00a0spirit. In verse 19 we are told to be<em>\u00a0swift to hear<\/em>. Lord, give me an ear\u00a0for your word and a desire\u00a0to ignore that which is not of an eternal value. The second thing that helps our development\u00a0is <em>slow to speak<\/em>. Lord, let be careful little mouth what I say for the Father up above is looking down in love. The mouth is the place where the heart is displayed. The third is <em>slow to anger<\/em>. I use to tell\u00a0my grandma when I got mad that I \u00a0lost my temper that I flew off the handle. She said if you didn&#8217;t climb up on the handle you would not fly off.
