In Isaiah 38:17 we are told that God ‘cast all my sins behind His back.’ The word ‘cast’ means to throw away from and to let go. All my sins have been thrown behind God and He refuses to turn around. In Isaiah 44:12 He said, ‘I have blotted out thy transgressions.’ The word ‘blotted’ means to fully erase including the residue left behind. In Jeremiah 31:34 we are told that ‘God will remember my sins no more.’ The phrase ‘remember no more’ is much different from the word forget. He said that by an act of My will I have decided not to mark or retain your sins in My mind. In Micah 7:19 God says, ‘He has cast all my sins in the depth of the sea.’ As the old preacher said, ‘he cast them in the sea and put up a no fishing sign.’ What a blessing it is to look at this truth line upon line.
