Think upon this statement with me. <em>&#8216;He Couldn&#8217;t Come Down, But He Was Poured Out&#8217;<\/em>\u00a0 In our text we see <em>&#8216;Forgiveness Without Request&#8217;<\/em>. At the time of our salvation we did not commence the great activity of forgiveness. Forgiveness was obtained for us at Calvary when He poured Himself out and said, &#8216;Father, forgive them&#8217;. Our confession of sins causes us to enter in to the forgiveness that was already paid for by our lovely Saviour. Remember the word &#8216;confess&#8217; does not mean &#8216;I&#8217;m sorry&#8217; but to enter into a covenant with God, that I see my sin as He does. If we confess, He forgives and cleanseth us from all unrighteousness. The &#8216;eth&#8217; tells us His cleansing is continual. Our forgiveness has already been paid for and endures forever.
