The overall theme of this book is our completeness in Christ. When we are drawing from our position of being complete in him, there will be progress in our spiritual life. In our text\u00a0Paul uses<em> the picture of a pilgrim<\/em>. The word<em> received<\/em> used by\u00a0Paul here is not that of being saved, but of our\u00a0walking in an intimate position of oneness with Christ. Paul said, if you have received Him, you walk in Him.The word walk is the word of a pilgrim. The word pilgrim is one who has the testimony of this world is not my home, I&#8217;m just passing through. The Pilgrim has a light grip on this temporal world and a\u00a0tight grip on the eternal world.
