In chapters 1-3\u00a0Paul has dealt with the doctrinal\u00a0thoughts of our\u00a0completeness in Christ. In\u00a0chapters 3-4\u00a0he will deal with the practical side. What we believe must affect our behavior. If we are to have heaven on earth in this life in 3:1 we are told there must be<em><strong> a state of practice.<\/strong><\/em> In the phrase,<em><strong>\u00a0If ye then\u00a0be risen with Christ<\/strong><\/em>, gives us this state. The word\u00a0if is not a possibility word but a definite. We are to live above the world. In Christ we have been raised to the other side of death, sin, Satan, and all that enslaves us.
