If one has put on Christ the new man there will be manifestations of the<em><strong> robes of forbearance and forgiveness.<\/strong><\/em> The word forbear means to hold back. God is forbearing\u00a0towards sinners and often to Saints.\u00a0He holds back his judgment, which is called\u00a0mercy. Mercy\u00a0is holding back what one deserves.\u00a0Life often gives us\u00a0the opportunity to display this robe from the new man. The next robe is forgiveness. When we are\u00a0grieved\u00a0or attacked fasley\u00a0we must refuse to retaliate, but we must also forgive. The word means to grant a pardon and then \u00a0forget it. We must be ready to\u00a0forgive even if it is never asked for. If you failed to\u00a0forgive you opened the door for a root of bitterness to spring up in your heart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse today from Colossians 3:13 and all dressed up with somewhere to go.
