The chapter begins<strong><em>\u00a0hear ye\u00a0and hearken<\/em><\/strong>. These are similar words used by Jesus when He said <strong><em>he that hath ears let him hear<\/em><\/strong>. The Lord tells them in verse four\u00a0that it is not <strong><em>they cannot hear but they will not hear<\/em><\/strong>. Here again is the sin of stubbornness magnified. In verse six God says you will approach me with your sacrifices and seek me, but you will not find me for I will have with\u00a0drawn myself. This would be the greatest judgment possible that God could place on us is to with draw himself from us.
