One of the first reasons\u00a0our Lord deals with is <strong><em>dishonesty in business<\/em><\/strong>. The Lord tells us that the merchant had\u00a0deceived\u00a0the people\u00a0with <strong><em>the balancing scales.<\/em><\/strong> The Lord said in verse 12 that he was done with warning them about their\u00a0deceitful\u00a0practice. My grandma asked her daughter one day who\u00a0owned a grocery store to hire her to fill a position as cashier. My aunt\u00a0said, to my grandma, that she felt she was too slow and the only way she could make money was to add a little bit to the price of every order.
