He is known as the first of the writing prophets. He preached to the southern kingdom where Joash was the King. The theme of his book is the phrase <strong><em>the day of the Lord<\/em><\/strong>. It appears five times in this book. We find the phrase\u00a0in 1:5, 2:1, 11, 31, and 3: 14. The day of the Lord in the Bible most often speaks of God&#8217;s\u00a0day of\u00a0judgment. I noticed\u00a0the phrase\u00a0 is mentioned five time which is our number for grace. When God&#8217;s judgment comes upon the unrighteous it will be as grace to the righteous.\u00a0His theme of the day of the Lord covers three areas in time that\u00a0we will look at and they are <strong><em>a present day, a purposeful day, and a promised day.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>His prophecies deal with the day he lived\u00a0in and through and including the day we live in,even till the end of time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us begin today to\u00a0muse from the prophet Joel.
