Let us begin today to muse from\u00a0 Joel 2: 1-27 in what I’m calling from our theme the day of the Lord, a purposeful day.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0God\u00a0has purposed in His will to bring the nation of Israel to Himself. It is in this chapter the locus would be the Assyrian army that invaded the nation during the days of King Hezekiah. The Lord would purpose\u00a0for the\u00a0Assyrian army to ravage the land beyond belief, but would finally deliver the nation of Israel through a miraculous intervention. God sent an angel and a hundred and 85,000 men\u00a0died in\u00a0one night. My, what a God we serve.
