It is in this section that God brings His wrath down on\u00a0 three groups of\u00a0people who have <strong><em>a genetic connection <\/em><\/strong>to Israel. The one we will look at today is in 1:11-12 and it is the people of <strong><em>Edom<\/em><\/strong>. <strong><em>The Edomites were the descendents of Esau, Jacobs twin brother<\/em><\/strong>. Down through Old Testament history they had been a protected people. Most of the time when Israel would fight with\u00a0them it would be a defensive\u00a0 war. In verse 11 Edam crosses God&#8217;s mercy\u00a0line and He sent the\u00a0wrath of God upon them. There great sin was the pursuing of their brother the\u00a0Jews with a sword. God\u00a0sent the\u00a0Assyrian and Babylonian nations and leveled this Edomite people. <strong><em>Man has not learned God&#8217;s feelings of don&#8217;t mess with Israel.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us begin today to muse from Amos 1: 11-2:3 and a section I will entitled vengeance on\u00a0blood kin.
