In verse four we find the question, <strong><em>will\u00a0a lion roar\u00a0in the forest, when he hath no prey?<\/em><\/strong> We know from a study of the Bible that the lion is a type of Satan. We find from nature&#8217;s study that the lion does not\u00a0roar until he has his prey. Peter said, that\u00a0our adversary the devil is as a roaring lion, walking about seeking whom he may devour. The word devour means to make a meal of. Satan is seeking day and night to make a meal out of our lives. If you hear him roar it is to late he already has you.\u00a0Peter says for us to be sober and viligant. These are terms of a watchman who is always on guard. I am no match for Satan and his tricks. I must ever depend upon Christ to be my tower of refuge to\u00a0hide\u00a0in when Satan seeks me out for to make of me a meal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us continue to muse from\u00a0Amos 3:\u00a01-6 and the questions God asked through Amos.
