God calls the Philistines and the Samaritans to witness the sins of Israel. We often do our sins\u00a0in the dark\u00a0but God uncovers them\u00a0 in the light. Abraham lied and was exposed to an Egyptian ruler. Samson was shamed\u00a0before the Philistines. David&#8217;s adultery disgraced him before the heathen. In verse\u00a010 Amos says they know not to do right. The indication is they don&#8217;t know how to do right. Indication is that they are drunk on their riches and see not the state of the poor. John said of the state of the church at\u00a0Laodicea\u00a0they are rich\u00a0and increased with goods and have\u00a0need of nothing in their own eyes.\u00a0God says the church of today is poor and in need of everything while the world looks on.
