This text is a funeral dirge over the nation where many have died \u00a0in God&#8217;s judgment, but our Lord weaves three \u00a0great lessons on how to avoid\u00a0God&#8217;s judgment in this text. The first is found in verses 1-3\u00a0and it\u00a0is<strong><em> hear God&#8217;s word<\/em><\/strong>. Our relationship with our Bible is a picture of our relationship with the Lord. The way we treat God&#8217;s man is the way we&#8217;re treating the Lord. The writer of Hebrews says, see\u00a0that you do not refuse him who speaks upon\u00a0the \u00a0behalf of the Lord.
