The first is mentioned in 5:4 and it is<strong><em> there is no other way to have life<\/em><\/strong>. Our Lord says seek me in order to have life the way of darkness is death. The second reason is in\u00a05:5 it\u00a0is there is<strong><em>\u00a0no other way to\u00a0\u00a0have\u00a0\u00a0spiritual\u00a0blessings\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>than to seek\u00a0the Lord. They went to the shrines up\u00a0north in droves\u00a0but\u00a0were none the better. One has said, a change in geography never overcomes a flaw in character.\u00a0Oh how\u00a0our nation thinks we can educate morals into people, but we better seek the Lord. The third reason was because<strong><em> judgment was coming <\/em><\/strong>mentioned in 5:6. The holy place was destroyed,\u00a0Gilgal&#8217;s\u00a0people went into captivity, their shrine was destroyed, and Bethel the house of God became Beth\u00a0Aven\u00a0\u00a0the house of nothing.
