He is wrapped in seaweed and he has reached the bottom of the earth and mountains. It is here he looked the Bible tells us in 2: 4B. The word look means to set the perception or fix it upon but one object. Jonah looks towards God&#8217;s holy Temple. This is the dwelling place of God. What better place to look than up when it seems we are going down.
