The message Jonah is to preach\u00a0 is, yet 40 days and Nineveh shall be overthrown. This message is very pointed with no promise of a remedy. I wonder sometimes if our gospel is not all about what\u00a0man needs to do.\u00a0Maybe we need to preach a message like Jonah that gives man no hope. We often make salvation to available for man. We seem to picture God as one who has\u00a0His hat in His hand\u00a0quietly waiting for\u00a0man to make a decision. Our salvation is not in our hands but rest\u00a0totally in God&#8217;s hands. The\u00a0law of the Gospel brings man up short of the glory of God.
