{"id":2077,"date":"2011-04-13T11:56:07","date_gmt":"2011-04-13T11:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomgilliam.wordpress.com\/?p=2077"},"modified":"2023-09-01T00:27:34","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T00:27:34","slug":"a-declaration-of-deeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgilliam.com\/?p=2077","title":{"rendered":"A Declaration Of Deeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let us begin today to\u00a0muse from\u00a0Micah chapter 2\u00a0and his sermon we have entitled <strong><em>a perception of doom<\/em><\/strong>. We find in this chapter\u00a0the fourth point to his\u00a0sermon that we have called <strong><em>a declaration of deeds<\/em><\/strong>. Why would God punish in such a harsh way of judgment the people whom He\u00a0loves, it is simply\u00a0because of their deeds. It is here\u00a0that Micah list them\u00a0for us. The first\u00a0deed mentioned is\u00a0in chapter 2:1-5 and it\u00a0is <strong><em>the deed of being\u00a0a stealer.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0These large land owners were buying up the land\u00a0 and putting poor people on the street. They knew that possessions\u00a0translated into power and\u00a0rule. They didn&#8217;t realize they were stealing from God for He said that He was the owner of all the land. The Lord had said even if\u00a0land was sold it should revert back to the original family in the year of Jubilee. They are still stealers among us today. Those who steal time from their family so they can work to make more money to buy more possessions. There is also those who steal that which belongs to God in the giving of\u00a0tithes and\u00a0offerings.
