We have already looked at their <strong><em>unbridled depraivity<\/em><\/strong>. Today we noticed a second reason for their\u00a0fall was <strong><em>unrighteous idolatry<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0Nineveh&#8217;s chief deity was\u00a0Ishtar the \u00a0goddess of sexual lust and passion. They had temple prostitutes and sex was their worship. God told them in verses 4-5 that he would cause them to be naked, vile and abominable before their enemies while they looked on. <strong><em>Are you seeing any of these reasons for their\u00a0fall in our nation?<\/em><\/strong> You don&#8217;t have to look far to see unbridled depravity and unrighteous idolatry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse again today from\u00a0Nahum 3:4-7\u00a0and the second reason why\u00a0Nineveh fail.
