In chapter 9:1-8 we find some\u00a0thoughts about an earthly king\u00a0called <strong><em>Alexander the great<\/em><\/strong>. The prophet fortells of days when\u00a0he will come and destroy a number of world powers. As it is with all of God&#8217;s true prophet all that he said came to pass in a man by the name of Alexander the great. As great a conqueror\u00a0of world powers that he was\u00a0he died\u00a0at the ripe young age of 33. God puts up powers and brings them down. Let us never fear when one is in\u00a0authority that we may dislike let us remember this too shall come to pass. The next one may be better and could be worse.
