We are told nothing about his parents, occupation, pedigree, where he was from\u00a0or how old he was. All we know is that he closed out the cannon of Old Testament Scripture and after his writing God was silent for 400\u00a0years. His name means messenger or missionary. The Latin word for his name is Angelicus, which is our word angel. He is called the prophet with the angelic message.
