{"id":3086,"date":"2012-04-29T11:09:05","date_gmt":"2012-04-29T11:09:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomgilliam.wordpress.com\/?p=3086"},"modified":"2023-09-01T00:26:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T00:26:51","slug":"position-of-humanity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgilliam.com\/?p=3086","title":{"rendered":"Position of Humanity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let us begin to muse today from Ephesians 2:1-3 and <strong><em>the before and after picture of grace.<\/em> <\/strong>We will begin today to look at <strong><em>the position of humanity<\/em><\/strong>. I see in verse one it would involve <strong><em>a dead state<\/em><\/strong>. Each of us come forth from our mother&#8217;s womb in a dead state. Paul tells us in our text about the word\u00a0dead which I would hope means corpse, one who has been embalmed, powdered, fixed up, and laid out looking like they are at rest. It is not but it is the picture of rotting, decomposing flesh, that smells to the highest degree. You get the before picture and this is but the first stroke of painting the picture by Paul\u00a0and the work of grace in the life of the sinner.It sure would difficult\u00a0to talk that type of corpse\u00a0into making a decision.
