We are looking at <strong><em>precious trials and an exposition of the types.<\/em> <\/strong>Peter speaks in our text of trial which are\u00a0sorrow and heart aches. He also speaks of temptation\u00a0 which is a solicitation by Satan to do evil and\u00a0says that both are precious. In our text Peter uses two descriptive words which are manifold and heaviness. The word manifold is the word for multiple or many-colored\u00a0or many-sided. The word heaviness is to come down upon with\u00a0a heavy hand. In our trials we often feel as if God and\u00a0His hand or a\u00a0million miles away.
