I am looking today at <strong><em>precious faith and the origin of this faith.<\/em> <\/strong>Look today with me at <strong><em>the obtaining of origin<\/em><\/strong>. Peter says in our text\u00a0of God&#8217; people\u00a0that they\u00a0have obtained\u00a0like precious faith. The word obtained is in the past\u00a0tense which tells us something was done by God in the past which guarantees we will do something in the present. The word obtain means to receive a determine allotment by divine decree. This allotment of faith\u00a0is rare, scarce, uncommon and,\u00a0a value beyond calculation. Paul tells us in Titus 1:1 that it\u00a0is the faith of God&#8217;s elect. Matthew Henry said there are few with true faith in a sea of professors.
