I turn our attention today to <strong><em>the ornament of origin<\/em> <\/strong>from our text in\u00a0II Peter 1:1. Peter calls\u00a0our faith precious which means rare,\u00a0 valuable beyond calculation, and one-of-a-kind. I cannot believe God gave me the same faith as He gave Abraham. I am reminded of the night God told Abraham he would have\u00a0a people come from him that would number the stars of the sky and the sand on the seashore. His wife\u00a0Sarah was barren which means sterile with no ability to have children. The Bible said Abraham believed and God imputed to him righteousness. We have done so little with the same faith they did so much with.
