Today look with me at the fact that Jesus can become <strong><em>a baffling stone<\/em><\/strong>. Peter tells us if He is not believed\u00a0on and trusted in with\u00a0the whole heart He will become a stone of stumbling. The word stumbling means to stub the foot, trip up and fall, which causes great humiliation. The phrase rock of offense means a snare\u00a0trap wired for wild animals. This stone which is so precious to those who believe if\u00a0ignored and not believed in with the whole heart can become a very dangerous stone.
