{"id":3719,"date":"2013-05-22T12:14:54","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T12:14:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomgilliam.wordpress.com\/?p=3719"},"modified":"2023-09-01T00:25:54","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T00:25:54","slug":"a-masked-faith","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgilliam.com\/?p=3719","title":{"rendered":"A Masked Faith"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse again today from Isaiah 53:1 and the theme of <strong><em>Isaiah&#8217;s Christ.<\/em><\/strong> Our text speaks of <strong><em>a masked faith\u00a0and that\u00a0it is masked to discovery.<\/em> <\/strong>Our text says the only ones who believe is those to whom God reveals Himself. Many teach today that\u00a0our believing causes regeneration. This is certainly not the teaching of the Bible. It is hard to get a dead man to do anything, let alone believe. Regeneration is the\u00a0quickening of man from the dead and believing is caused by\u00a0\u00a0regeneration and not vice versa. I never knew I was dead\u00a0and trespass in\u00a0sin until the Lord raise me from the dead.\u00a0I never knew I was blind until He gave me sight. I never knew I was\u00a0lost until He found me. I never knew I could not hear spiritually until he had given me ears to hear.
