Our text tells us He was bruised by the Father because it gave the\u00a0Father great delight of pleasure. We are told the Son&#8217;s travail on the cross is the word for\u00a0a woman giving birth to a child. In verses 10 and\u00a011 we see the travailing of His birth produced\u00a0a seed\u00a0and He was satisfied. Christ gave birth to a people on the cross. He did not die to make possible\u00a0my salvation\u00a0 but to make it\u00a0sure. He did not die hoping someone would get saved but while dying on the cross He had me on His mind and was giving birth to make sure of my new birth.
