In the work of the new birth\u00a0 we\u00a0are told the Spirit\u00a0blows where it\u00a0listeth which means as it wills. The text tells us that one who is born from above is borne by the will of the Spirit. The word Spirit is also compared with the word breath. In Ephesians 2:1\u00a0we are told that\u00a0before we were saved we were\u00a0dead (corpse like) in trespasses and in sins. There is only one thing that will cause\u00a0a dead man to live and\u00a0that is the spiritual breath of the Holy Ghost. This work is called regeneration which causes a man to believe once he\u00a0is alive. Dead people will not believe, accept, or receive anything.
