Often when we speak of the new birth we just say Jesus saves. I think we feel like the Son of God is the only one who plays a part in our new birth. I find in our text at <strong><em>the triune Godhead plays a united, individual, and personal work in my new birth<\/em><\/strong>. We see in our text that God the Father had chosen\u00a0a people before the foundation of the world. The word chosen means to pick, to prefer one over another, and to pick from a group. The only time I ever got picked growing up was they said we will take Gilliam if you give us first bat.
