I can understand why\u00a0Herod would be troubled at\u00a0the thought\u00a0of a rival\u00a0King especially if He had supernatural powers. I am shocked that the Jews, Jerusalem, and the so-called people of God were troubled at the appearance of Messiah the King of the Jews. Man is always troubled at the unknown. Man is troubled\u00a0at anything that makes life change as he knows it or demands that he make sacrifices of dying to self. We\u00a0are more willing to give up real spiritual freedom embrace bondage rather than die to our selves.
