In our text today we are confronted with the thought of Christ righteousness exceeding that of the legalist. Jesus speaks today of <strong><em>the act and the\u00a0thought of adultery<\/em><\/strong>. God&#8217;s people in general would certainly condemn\u00a0the act of adultery \u00a0but here our Lord says\u00a0 the man who\u00a0looks upon a woman\u00a0with a lustful\u00a0thought has committed adultery already in his heart.\u00a0Oh how this would drive us to set a guard over our minds and\u00a0to keep our eyes\u00a0from wondering. What man who lives today has not fallen into this sin?
