In our text today our Lord deals with <strong><em>public prayers<\/em><\/strong>. He does not condemn public prayers\u00a0because God&#8217;s people should never be reluctant to pray even in public. Let us be careful of our motives or\u00a0aims in public prayer. When I pastored some people would pray so others would hear and supply their needs. One of the areas of concern for me is when preachers at the end of services pray their prayers to the people. They pray some are\u00a0here and need to make a decisions, to be saved, baptized or join\u00a0the church. We have all been foolishly guilty of praying prayers to people.
