In our text today\u00a0our King\u00a0deals with <strong><em>fasting and prayer<\/em><\/strong>. Let me say quickly this is not an area that I know a lot about but sense more of and need to know more than I ever had. I notice He says when you fast not if you fast. This tells me it should me a natural practice for God&#8217;s people to fast.\u00a0If one\u00a0fast let him not do it for the minor reward of the applause of men. Our Lord tells us not to fast and call attention to\u00a0ourselves but to seek the pleasure of the Lord alone. Let it never be said of us, they have their reward.
