In our text today our Lord gives us the<strong><em> steps\u00a0for praying<\/em><\/strong>. May I say at first glance these are\u00a0simple yet profound. They are ask, seek, and knock. I must say they increase with intensity as one goes further in the steps. It starts out\u00a0by simply opening the mouth and making requests known. We then must go further and launch a search\u00a0for the one who answers prayer. Then there is the knocking to be given entrance into His presence. We are told in the New Testament that our Lord\u00a0honors one who keeps on asking, keeps on seeking, and one who keeps\u00a0on knocking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse again today from Matthew 7:7 and the theme of Jesus the King.
