It is in this text that we have Jesus&#8217; \u00a0<strong><em>first display of power<\/em><\/strong>. The verse begins with the word behold which means to look at closely and intently. The first one to come to Him is a leper.\u00a0He comes offering Jesus worship and calling Him Lord.\u00a0Oh how many today call Him Lord yet never bow in worship. If one calls Him Lord but\u00a0does not worship Him he is more diseased than this leper. His request is not for healing\u00a0but the request is Lord if thou wilt thou\u00a0can\u00a0 make me clean. He appeals to our Lord&#8217;s willingness and power.
