In our reading for today we find how to <strong><em>move Jesus to help<\/em><\/strong>. The Gentile soldier comes to Jesus and makes a request for a servant boy who lives at his house. He does not plead his own merits as a soldier but the misery of the boy. He uses the words that the boy is grievously tormented with\u00a0palsy. He does not prescribe to Jesus what should be done. He simply lays the need before Him and receives this response, I will come and heal him.\u00a0Oh the simplicity of just laying the needs of the day before\u00a0Him and leaving them there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:5-7 and the theme of Jesus the King.
