In our study for today we see the <strong><em>commissioning by Christ<\/em><\/strong>. They were first called by Christ, declared to be disciples, and then given power over unclean spirits, sickness, and diseases. It began with a call. There can be no major work done for our Lord without a divine call upon the life. I wonder how many today claim to be in service for Christ and cannot look back to a divine call upon their life? Once the call was issued it led to being a disciple. The word disciple means one who studies the teacher and seeks to be just like Him. When these two things were in place, called and a disciple there was abundant power given.
