In this verse we find <em>Paul&#8217;s declaration<\/em>. He has enjoyed heavenly thoughts, but never gets so heavenly that he is no earthly good. I see in this verse there is <em>a personal declaration<\/em>. Paul calls the name of two ladies Euodias and Syntche, who are causing division in the church. I wonder what the service was like when this letter was read and these ladies heard their names called for sins committed? My what a wake up call. Thank God for a man who calls our hand when we sin. I see it is <em>a pointed declaration<\/em>. Paul says they don&#8217;t think like the Lord. He simply says you ladies need to stop it. Paul often uses the rebuke of a few, to keep the majority in line.
