The word of the kingdom is the gospel. The text says they hear the word with physical ears but there is no understanding.\u00a0The seed falls on the\u00a0outward nature but is not received and because of that the devil comes and takes it away. Only our Lord can cause the seed to\u00a0enter into the nature with a life changing effect.
