{"id":4847,"date":"2017-03-20T15:30:34","date_gmt":"2017-03-20T15:30:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tomgilliam.wordpress.com\/?p=4847"},"modified":"2023-09-01T00:21:04","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T00:21:04","slug":"musing-through-matthew-the-end-of-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgilliam.com\/?p=4847","title":{"rendered":"Musing Through Matthew- The End Of The World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse again today from Matthew 13:40-42 and the theme of <strong><em>Jesus the king.<\/em> <\/strong>It is in this text we have a\u00a0sobering\u00a0thought \u00a0on <strong><em>the\u00a0end of the world.<\/em> <\/strong>It is at\u00a0that time that the holy Angels will be called to be the executioners of the wrath of the lamb. It is then that the tares will be rooted up from the real wheat.\u00a0It will be those who\u00a0have offended\u00a0which means to cause others to stumble. It will also be those who have practiced iniquity . They will be cast into the furnace of fire. I would remind us this is not the annihilation theory. We know that these folks will burn forever because we&#8217;re told there is wailing and gnashing of teeth. These are both\u00a0ing verbs indicating for ever. What a horrible thought.
