We are asked in our study texts today to<strong><em> behold the pleader of Mercy<\/em><\/strong>. This lady has no claims upon Jesus because she\u00a0is a Gentile of the worst type, a Canaanite. Her\u00a0need is grave,\u00a0she is the mother of a daughter controlled by the devil. She bridges the gap between her and Jesus when she calls him Lord thou son of David. She asked for that which no one in the Bible has ever been denied when they asked Jesus for mercy. Mercy is to withhold from us what we deserve. When we say we are deserving of what we are getting but asked that it be withheld \u00a0simply because He is Lord, He is moved \u00a0with compassion toward our request.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us muse again today from Matthew 15:22 and the theme of Jesus the king.
