Call To Remembrance, Repentance,Or Remorse

Let us think upon Revelation 3:3 today and the church of Sardis. It is here our Lord calls those in this church who are alive to remembrance. He tells them to remember how they received and heard the gospel. It was all about what He did. We came because He quicken us from the dead. We only heard because He gave us ears to hear. He calls them  to remember to hold fast. The phrase means to guard carefully your present state and continue on that path. He also calls them to repentance. The areas they fall short of His glory they to have a radical change of mind about. If not there will be a great remorse in the fact He will come like a thief in and hour they do not expect. My how this speaks to our heart. I don’t want Him to come and catch me unawares and I be ashamed at His coming. I long to hear Him say well done.
